Information AssuranceIn support of the Department of Defense, GLOTECH personnel were instrumental in developing and implementing the JCS KG-84A Standardization plan. This included surveying existing configurations, developing and conducting exhaustive testing on the interface of KG-84A’s in commercial systems, writing a manual and student guide outlining pertinent findings, and assisting the US Navy in the implementation of the standard. GLOTECH, Inc. personnel also authored the JCS KG-194() Standardization Plan in the same fashion, following the procedures established in the very successful KG-84A Standardization Program. GLOTECH, Inc. personnel developed and conducted exhaustive testing of the KIV-7 and authored the resultant KIV-7 Engineering Guidelines in support of SPAWAR Norfolk, Code 50 and CNO N6. GLOTECH established a government standards based solution over the Internet to provide secured connectivity to the Department of State’s OpenNet, a sensitive but unclassified network, around the world. Using a Federal Information Processing Standards Publications (FIPS PUBS) 140-1 approved product from the Information Resource Engineering (IRE), GLOTECH designed, installed and maintained a FIPS 46-3 complaint Triple Data Encryption Standards (DES) network using Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) to securely tunnel Department of State data using the Internet. The IRE SafeNet Speed product was chosen after an extensive review of the available VPN products based on IRE’s use of industry compliant standards, high performance scalability, upgradability, ability to automatic switchover to secondary management center and ability to centrally manage enterprise-wide deployment. GLOTECH established centralized and integrated security policy management of clients using certificate authority services and management, auto archiving of events, access control groups and checking, and ability to instantly revoke or deny sessions. |
